Sheep

Sheep are herbivores (plant eaters) who live in groups called flocks. They are sheared once a year, and their wool is used to make sweaters, blankets, coats, scarves, and much more. They also produce milk, which is often used to make cheese. Female sheep are called ewes, males are called rams, and baby sheep are known as lambs. Sheep graze on grass, hay, and other plants. They often communicate with each other through sounds like bleating, which is the “baa” sound we’ve all come to recognize.

Pictured to the right are a few of our sheep.
