Alpacas

Alpacas are herd animals that are native to Peru. Alpacas need to be sheared once a year, usually in the Spring, and their wool can be used to make clothing, blankets, and more. They have 3-chambered stomachs and sometimes spit when nervous or to assert dominance. Recently, Alpacas have been growing in popularity as therapy animals.

Pictured to the right is one of our baby alpacas, Windy, and her mom.
